Maruti Suzuki has confirmed that it has received 33,000 bookings for the new Dzire till date and the waiting period has already stretched up to 8 weeks. However, this is one of the few places where the Dzire loses out.
Now, the company has chose to drop the prefix "Swift" from the name of the upcoming new generation Dzire.
India's largest carmaker Maruti Suzuki has launched the third generation of its highly successful compact sedan Dzire.
The petrol variant comes with the VVT 1.2 litre petrol K series engine and the diesel variant is fixed with the DDiS 190 1.3 litre engine.

Maruti Suzuki Dzire gets the existing model's powertrains. At 28.4 kmpl* the New DzireDiesel is India's most fuel efficient vehicle.
According to RS Kalsi, the new Maruti will be produced only at Manesar plant for now although there is sufficient capacity available at the Gurgaon plant as well.
The Z trim (ZXi, ZDi) packs in alloy wheels, leather-wrapped steering, rear parking sensors, fog lamps, rear defogger, keyless go, auto climate control and electric retract wing mirrors.
Customers will also appreciate the superior fuel efficiency of the New Dzire. Launched at INR 4.45 lakh (ex-showroom Delhi), the Dzire becomes compliant with futuristic norms which will come into effect from October 2017. The rear seats also get ISOFIX child anchorages.
