The dude who was found legally responsible for the death of Bobbi Kristina Brown has got another problem on his hands.

11Alive has confirmed that Nick Gordon, the former boyfriend of the late Bobbi Kristina Brown, is behind bars after an incident in Florida. Cops were called at the time but Gordon fled before they arrived.

Gordon was taken into custody by police in Sanford, Florida, on Saturday afternoon. Gordon said to police that he wished to press charges. Their relationship initially made headlines since Brown's mother had helped raise Gordon and the two had grown up together.

In photos obtained by the outlet, Gordon's girlfriend is pictured with several deep bruises across her upper and lower arms.

Gordon is accused of carrying out an hours-long overnight assault of Leal - "hitting and punching her in the face and the back of the head with a closed fist", the report says.

Gordon is now facing charges of domestic battery and false imprisonment.

In November a year ago, a judge ordered Gordon to pay more than US$36 million (RM153 million) to Brown's family.

Bobbi Kristina, the daughter of the late singer Whitney Houston and her husband, the rapper Bobby Brown, was just 22 when she died two years ago. But the medical examiner couldn't determine if she killed herself, if someone else killed her or if her death was accidental.
