The CBSE NEET is a national-level exam conducted for admission to the MBBS and BDS courses in the government and private medical and dental colleges.

A total of 6,11,539 students from India and overseas including five transgenders have qualified the medical entrance examination which was held on May 7. The result was initially scheduled to be announced on June 9 but due to the pertaining controversial situation, had been postponed until today.

4 June 2017: A fresh petition was filed in Madras High Court to cancel the NEET exam.

A senior CBSE official said eight transgenders had applied for NEET and five of them have cleared it. The results are now available for students to check on the official website.

The CBSE NEET result 2017 will give relief to lakhs of students who was anxiously waiting for the result declaration and commencement of the counselling process. Out of 11,38,890 students 6,11,539 have passed Medical Entrance examination held on May 7. Immediately after the apex court's order, CBSE hosted the OMR answer sheets and have time to make challenges if they found any discrepancy in the responses made by them.
