Director: 'Wonder Woman' a 'hero' for all

Posted June 09, 2017

Matthew Jensen, who worked on the film as a cinematographer, spoke recently with Vulture as he went more into depth about the use of color in Patty Jenkins' movie. Wonder Woman's huge opening, the biggest for a film directed by a female, has already sparked talk of a sequel, although Patty Jenkins has yet to officially sign on.

Now in defence of all other movies coming out or that have come out, it's only June.

Yes, she is! In every way a wonder, and a woman of curiosity, beauty, strength and caring. However, Warner Bros now recognizes that one movie doesn't represent a whole series and that there's still a lot in the air surrounding this whole universe of films. Let's face it, with Man of Steel, Batman v Superman and Suicide Squad all receiving lackluster reviews, the studio very much needed Wonder Woman to correct the ship - and, boy, has it. I'd love to see Diana trying out all the fashion from that era, and at the same time kick some secret agent butt. Raised on a sheltered island paradise, when an American pilot crashes on their shores and tells of a massive conflict raging in the outside world, Diana leaves her home, convinced she can stop the threat. Mankind may not always be good or right, but they're still worth fighting for.

Despite being out just a few weeks in the U.S. and less than a week here, the superhero reboot leads the way with the most tweets of any film this year at 2.19 million tweets so far. She later returned for the fifth movie, Fast Five, that also brought The Rock in the action. James Gunn, the Russo Brothers, yes, even Zack Snyder (for better or much worse), like Christopher Nolan before him-these directors are essential to maintaining the look and feel of the films. She can save "the world of men" because she's immune to their bullshit.

"Wonder Woman" has been a box office success since its premiere this past weekend.

Antiope's death near the beginning of Wonder Woman means she'll be appearing in a flashback.

This is just wishful thinking, but I hope they explore the 60s with at the height of popularity for crime and espionage. Now I want to make Wonder Woman 2.
