The United Arab Emirates and several other Arab countries severed diplomatic, travel and trade links with Qatar last week, condemning the country for its alleged support of the Iranian regime and funding of Islamist militants.

Blockaded by the Gulf states and Egypt, Qatar begins to try giant methods to break the blockade. Then, PM along with army chief departed on a day-long visit to Saudi Arabia where they held talks with the Saudi leadership on the latest situation developing amongst the GCC countries. "Whatever is related to the collective security of the Gulf countries, Qatar is ready to negotiate ... but we have the right to react to these accusations that we are interfering in their internal affairs".

Speaking in the parliament ahead of Erdoğan's speech to lawmakers from his ruling Justice and Development Party (AKP), Çavuşoğlu said the two leaders would conduct a phone call to discuss the issue.

Qatar hosted the Taliban at the request of the United States government, the Qatari foreign minister's special envoy on counterterrorism told Aljazeera.

"We still have no clue what is behind these measures", he said.

"Qatar Airways continues to operate to the rest of its network as per its published schedules with day-to-day adjustments for operational and commercial efficiencies", he said, without elaborating further.

Local spokespersons noted that at least four planes laden with fruits and vegetables arrived from Iran, and supplies are expected to increase in the next few days.

Erdogan said that it was Qatar, alongside Turkey, which had been fighting Islamic State (IS, formerly ISIS/ISIL) extremists the most. Motaz al-Khayyat, a wealthy Qatari businessman, made a decision to bring four thousand cows purchased from the United States and Australia to Qatar in order to end the milk crisis in the country.
