Cowboys open training camp with optimism but it's overshadowed by Whitehead's release

It's been an odd offseason for Whitehead, who said last week that his dog had been taken and was being held for ransom, then said a day later that his dog had been returned.

Rich has told the Cowboys this information. They called it "a case of mistaken identity".

During the 2016 National Football League season, Whitehead missed a Saturday walkthrough, resulting in head coach Jason Garrett informing him to skip the flight. He has another hearing on August 10.

The Dallas Cowboys have cut wide receiver Lucky Whitehead, according to a team spokesman. On July 6th, he failed to appear before an arraignment, resulting in his second charge. He struggled to hold on to the football, though, fumbling three times and losing two in just 10 rushes and three receptions past year.

According to ESPN, Whitehead told reporters Monday: "I didn't know about that" and "I don't know what's going on". I NEVER once had an altercation with the cops.

The Cowboys signed Whitehead as an undrafted free agent in 2015, and he was entering the final year of his three-year, $1.58 million deal with the team. Star running back Ezekiel Elliott has faced no team discipline, and has been defended by owner Jerry Jones, after being accused of domestic violence, and of assault at a bar. When officers arrived, they located the man in the parking lot'. Their draft pick, Jourdan Lewis, is in court for a domestic incident from his days at MI.

Another Cowboys player is reportedly in trouble. He also rushed 20 times for 189 yards and caught nine passes for 64 yards.
