At the end of the film, Hank's daughter, Hope van Dyne (played by Evangeline Lilly), was given the original Wasp suit, and it's clearly hinted that she would take on the mantle of the superhero in the film's sequel.
Pfeiffer's character was mourned by Douglas who believed she was dead in 2015's "Ant-Man". (She later returned, entirely healthy, because. comics.) In Marvel's Ant-Man film, Pym mourned the loss of his wife, who had been lost in the subatomic realm in an act of heroism (she was disabling a rocket).
After Pfeiffer's announcement, fans were treated to the first animatics and logo for the sequel, which is due to be released on July 6, 2018.
Rounding out the cast are Randall Park as S.H.I.E.L.D agent Jimmy Woo and the previously announced Walton Goggins as Sonny Burch. The panel kicked off with a clip featuring Ant-Man's Paull and Rudd and Michael Pena doing a recap of the history of the entire Marvel Cinematic Universe, using props like Hulk hands and pictures of David Hasselhoff as Nick Fury. Fishburne is set to play the character Dr. Bill Foster, also known as the Black Goliath.
Facebook/antmanA still image from a scene of Marvel's "Ant-Man", as featured on their official Facebook page. We only get to see a quick shot of what they are working on, which sees Ant-Man driving a vehicle in his miniature size underneath other cars at a auto wash, only to go big and turn over the auto closest to the front. Created by Lee and artist Don Heck, Foster first appeared in 1966's Avengers #32 as an employee of Tony Stark before working with Pym to help cure him after he gets stuck in his 10 foot tall form.
