Last month, Pokémon Go began its one-year anniversary party with a special event, the rollout of Raids and new Gyms, and the announcement of an in-person Pokémon Go event. The main difference between the present Pikachu and the usual electric rat is in the cap of Ash, the protagonist of the animated series of Pokémon. Just in time for this summer's release of the next Pokémon movie and banking on all the nostalgia of Indigo League, you can catch your own Pikachu and walk him for 10k to ride on your shoulder!
The second feature of the anniversary event is the sale of "Anniversary Boxes" which will contain bundles of items like Incubators, Max Revives, Ultra Balls and a Premium Raid Pass. Pricing details haven't been made clear yet.
The anniversary event starts at 1 p.m. PT today and will end at 1 p.m. PT on July 24.

Pokemon GO is out now for iOS and Android devices.
