In case you wondering if this is true, it absolutely is!
After customers completed their transactions, a handwritten note would pop through the receipt slot. He didn't have his phone with him, and nobody could hear him inside the branch, so out of desperation he wrote notes, and pushed them through the receipt slot.
The door of the ATM was kicked down, and sure enough, there was a man behind the machine who was trapped there! "Please call my boss at ..."
The repairman wrote the note including his boss' phone number but Police revealed that some customers thought the notes were a joke, but one made a decision to give them a call. Then he heard a faint voice coming from behind the machine and realized someone was actually inside.
Police said a number of other ATM users ignored the notes thinking it was a joke.
Customers first appeared to dismiss the notes as a gag or a reality television spoof, but someone eventually called police for assistance.
The unnamed contractor became stuck inside the Bank of America ATM in Corpus Christi on Wednesday when he was changing the lock of the room that leads to the machine. "It's got to be a joke", said Olden.
Police freed the man, but since there was no crime committed, details and records are slim, Hooper said. A police spokesperson said the man was "mortified".
Finally someone did but not before it had been about two hours since the man started writing the note.
"Everyone is okay, but you will never see this in your life, that somebody was stuck in the ATM, it was just insane".
