Interested in more multi-man fighting games? Since Marvel vs. Capcom: Infinite is one of the company's biggest games releasing this year, Capcom may want to generate additional hype for it by revealing gameplay footage of one of the upcoming DLC fighters at the show.
The four aforementioned fighters join Sigma and Black Panther to round out the first wave of DLC characters. The game also takes players back to basics with two-on-two battles, a system that the franchise hasn't used since the 1998 game, Marvel vs. Capcom: Clash of Super Heroes. Though the list debunks the leak that was revealed a while ago, it only barely does so. So far, we have Black Panther and Sigma confirmed.
Save for Venom, this will be a series debut for all of these characters. With Monster Hunter, however, it's not clear what fans should expect here, seeing as the character is customizable and available as both male and female in the Monster Hunter franchise. It's also interesting to note that of these six characters, four come from Marvel's universe, tipping the balance in its favor from an originally 50/50 Capcom/Marvel roster.
The "2017 Character Pass" is included with the Deluxe Edition of Marvel vs. Capcom: Infinite, which costs $89.99 versus the standard edition's $59.99.
In a statement to GameStop, Capcom confirmed the last four characters that will be coming as DLC.
