NY Giants' Beckham Jr., Marshall, Harris to have season-ending surgery

Marshall's announcement ends a nightmare weekend for the Giants that saw them lose three receivers for the remainder of the season.

The New York Giants confirmed Tuesday that wide receiver Odell Beckham Jr. underwent surgery on his ankle Monday night.

The Giants have announced that Beckham fractured his left ankle in the closing minutes of the game against the Chargers, and he will have to undergo surgery sometime this week to fix the damage.

Beckham, Shepard and Marshall have accounted for 47.4 percent of the receptions, 53.7 percent of the passing yardage and 50 percent of the passing touchdowns the Giants have accumulated this year. This game has shown me who I really am good and bad. Carr was limited in practice much of last week. In fact, Marshall has a 1,000-yard season with four different National Football League teams. However, Sterling Shepard picked up an injury that will cause him to miss a few weeks and Brandon Marshall and Dwayne Harris are also done for the year. The Giants signed Tavarres King in free agency and signed Travis Rudolph off their practice squad. He sprained his left ankle in the August 21 preseason game in Cleveland and missed the regular-season opener in Dallas. He also had two 15-yard catches that set up Manning's 29-yard touchdown toss to Roger Lewis, Jr.in the third quarter. Marshall was suspended the first four games of the regular season for violating the NFL's policy on performance enhancers.

"Obviously, you never want to see any receiver go down, and it looked like he was in some pain".

In other games, the Jaguars beat the Steelers 31-9, the Eagles beat the Cardinals 34-7, the Dolphins beat the Titans 16-10 and Cam Newton 26 of 33 for a season-high 335 yards in Carolina's 27-24 win over Detroit.
