The former LSU receiver grimaced in pain with what appeared to be a gruesome injury late in the Giants' game against the Los Angeles Chargers.

The New York Giants season got even worse on Sunday when Odell Beckham Jr. went down with a scary-looking injury to his ankle.

Taylor Rooks‏ tweeted: "Brutal game for Giants".

WR MISERY: Giants WRs Sterling Shepard and Brandon Marshall left the game on the same second-quarter series with sprained left ankles. They got to midfield but on fourth-and-10 from the Chargers' 48 Manning's deflected pass was intercepted by Tre Boston with 40 seconds left to seal the misery. He had two catches for 15 yards before leaving Sunday with the injury.

OBJ suffered an injury to the same ankle during the preseason, and missed the first game of the season because of it.

The Giants scored their first first-quarter points of the season to take a 9-0 lead.

Shepard had one catch for 9 yards against the Chargers.

He had five receptions for 97 yards and a touchdown before exiting.
