'South Park' game's main DLC items won't be available this year

The Season Pass for South Park: The Fractured But Whole will be available on October 17th when the game is released.

The meat of the add-ons won't be available until later, and what sounds like a wave-based combat challenge ("Danger Deck", a nod to X-Men's "Danger Room") will launch sometime in December.

The second lot of DLC is called "From Dusk till Casa Bonita", which is the first of two now planned story episodes.

The next piece of DLC is From Dusk Till Casa Bonita, a play on the vampire film From Dusk Till Dawn and Cartman's very favorite restaurant, Casa Bonita - in fairness, it is a pretty cool place. This makes buying the season pass a saving of $7 for those that intend to get everything they can from the title, however those who have purchased the Gold Edition of the Collector's Gold Edition will already have it all included.

But if you think the story is complete with the main game, think again. Purchased standalone, Danger Deck will cost $5.99. Pre-ordering the game before its launch also nets the player an instant download code for the first game, The Stick of Truth. Otherwise, the season pass can be bought for $30. It'll be $11.99 when it arrives in 2018. This content will be available in 2018.

First and foremost, season pass owners will be receive access to two different DLC packs on day one. Towelie: Your Gaming Bud provides helpful and hilarious advice and commentary to players at key locations throughout the game.

Finally, Bring The Crunch introduces a new story and hero class.

For those who weren't watching South Park on Wednesday, promotion for South Park: The Fractured But Whole is in full swing that began with an episode encompassing the upcoming game.
