Conor McGregor ejected for fighting with ref at Bellator 187

"We're are aware of the in-cage altercation involving Conor McGregor and a Bellator staff member", the statement read.

UFC lightweight champion Conor McGregor made quite the scene at today's Bellator 187 event in his native Dublin.

The pair came face-to-face again and McGregor had a few choice words for the official.

With the two embracing, referee Marc Goddard moved to divide them.

McGregor and Goddard have been at odds before.

Another video has surfaced on Twitter showing McGregor continuing his bad behaviour after the earlier incident.

Not only was McGregor out of line in breaking cageside protocol for the second straight time, he certainly crossed the line by getting physical. At a previous UFC event in Poland, Goddard told McGregor to back away from the ringside when he was shouting instructions at Artem Lobov, who is another teammate.

McGregor returned and was stopped at the top of the fence by another official.

His victory prompted McGregor to leap into the Octagon to celebrate with Ward at the 3Arena.

The man known as "Notorious" took exception to these actions and retaliated by going after Goddard and shoving him as the latter attended to Redmond - who was still on the mat.

McGregor eventually left the cage as the chaos simmered down, but immediately after leaving through the cage door, he went for a run around the cage and pumped up the crowd.
