"The only one who might be able to stop him is the wizard he once called his dearest friend, Albus Dumbledore [played by Jude Law]", reads the synopses.
It was only a matter of time before the sequel's details were made public.
Warner Bros today confirmed the title of next year's sequel to Harry Potter spin-off Fantastic Beasts and Where To Find Them, offering fans a look at the blockbuster's star-studded cast in costume to boot. After stealing the Elder Wand, he became one of the most powerful Dark Wizards in history and it was only Dumbledore who could defeat him in 1945, and reclaim the Elder Wand for himself.
The second film in the "Harry Potter" prequel franchise will be released on November 16, 2018. Other new characters who appear in the teaser include Newt's brother, Theseus Scamander (Callum Turner), his fiance Leta Lestrange (Zoë Kravitz), and a now unnamed character played by Claudia Kim.
Eddie Redmayne reprises his role as magizoologist Newt Scamander with Katherine Waterston, Dan Fogler, Alison Sudol, Ezra Miller and Johnny Depp also returning. In their youth, the pair were neighbours and best friends, and years after the Harry Potter books were released, J.K. Rowling revealed that Dumbledore was actually in love with Grindlewald, before their paths took different turns.
New cast members include Jude Law as a young Albus Dumbledore and Callum Turner, who plays Newt Scamander's older brother Theseus, a war hero who is now engaged to Leta Lestrange, played by Zoe Kravitz, according to Collider.

The "Fantastic Beasts" movies seem to be building up to this epic wizard battle. We did see a glimpse of Johnny Depp's villain in the first film, but it was ephemeral so it would be interesting to actually see what kind of a man this dark wizard actually is.
"Lines are drawn as love and loyalty are tested, even among the truest friends and family, in an increasingly divided wizarding world", and that could mean some very hard decisions for Newt himself.
