Nacho Monreal confident Ozil, Sanchez will stay at Arsenal beyond January

Andreu and Miguelsanz reported Sanllehi has already met in London with Ozil's agent, Erkut Sogut, and that "everything was practically closed", with Segura's green light thought to be the last hurdle in completing a January transfer.

Nacho Monreal told IBTimes UK: "Yes, the feeling is that they will continue".

It's the sort of deal which will appeal to Arsenal, particularly if they can raise funds by selling Özil at the same time. Not at all. They are committed to the group and we will see what happens.

"I can't say much about it".

The Gunners stars are both out of contract at the end of the season and are reportedly seeking moves away from the club when their deals expire.

Arsenal are believed to be prepared to sell the player in January if they receive a fee of around €20m and Barcelona believe it is a justifiable figure for a player of Ozil's quality in the current market.

"If the club want them to stay beyond December [the January transfer window] they will follow".

"Leon will make a decision soon without us building any pressure on him". This isn't the only factor giving them second thoughts, as the Mirror also report that there are certain officials rooting for the club to sign a younger player, which wouldn't suit the German as he nears his thirties.

Manchester City remain keen on a move for Sanchez, having missed out on the Chile star last summer, while Manchester United, Barcelona and PSG are all said to be keeping tabs on Ozil's situation.
