According to the sheriff's office report, police were dispatched to Miller's residence shortly after midnight Saturday.
She said Roy threw her phone in the toilet and physically restrained her from retrieving it.
Miller was told by the judge that any violence toward his wife would break the terms of his release, according to Chana.
Nicole Miller also had a small abrasion on her face and a scratch on the back of her neck, according to the police report.
Reports indicate that several children were home at the time of the incident. She took an Uber home and did not find Roy Miller in the house, she said.
When police arrived, Roy was found sleeping in the master bedroom. One witness, according to the report, said the couple's bedroom door was slammed shut and she heard "thumping coming from inside the room as if someone was being hit".
"This morning we were informed about an incident involving one of our players, Roy Miller", the Chiefs said in a statement.
He was scheduled for a 1 p.m. initial appearance hearing before a judge. He was picked up in Jacksonville after leaving the Tampa Bay Buccaneers in 2013.
The Chiefs are on a bye this week. They declined any further comment. In late September, after President Trump criticized protesting National Football League players at a campaign speech in Alabama, Miller placed his hand on the shoulder of well-known anthem protester Marcus Peters.
Miller, who now plays for the Kansas City Chiefs, was released by the Jaguars in March after four seasons with the team.
The Chiefs signed Miller back in August.
