Free gameplay weekends are the real heroes.
The title will offer up a variety of free modes between 14-18 December, including the game's first three chapters of Story mode, its core roster of fighters (excluding Brainiac), and all multiplayer and online modes.
Warner Bros. Interactive has announced that PS4 and Xbox One owners who've not yet tried out the popular DC fighting game Injustice 2 will get the opportunity to do so thanks to a free trial. Sadly, there is no free trial for PC players. The trial will also contain the Multiverse mode, where trial players can get their hands on select DLC characters.
We've had a lot of good words to say about Injustice 2, hailing it as one of our favourite games of 2017 and calling it an "essential purchase". If you have yet to play it, you can now try it later this weekend. It'll also be on sale this weekend for $30 Dollars, though it's unclear if that also includes any DLC or the Ultimate Edition, which comes with all of the DLC characters, whether they be present or upcoming. During this trial period, Injustice 2 will also go on sale at "selected retailers". That list of characters includes MK guests Raiden and Sub-Zero, DC favorites Black Manta, Starfire and Red Hood along with recent addition Atom and the soon-to-be-released Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles.
