(Neb)-Huskers Fall To #3 Michigan State

Jim Harbaugh has been quiet for most of the season. When asked if he viewed that as a slight during a press conference on Sunday, Dantonio made reference to his track record against MI and Harbaugh.

Dantonio, who is 8-3 against MI, on Sunday responded to the Spartans' (9-3) drawing the Holiday Bowl, while MI (8-4) is headed to the more-prestigious, New Year's Day Outback Bowl.

The Cougars (9-3, 6-3 Pac-12) are looking for their first 10-win season since 2003, which ended in a Holiday Bowl win over No. 5 Texas.

MI football coach Jim Harbaugh took to Twitter Monday to respond to Mark Dantonio's comments during the bowl selection process. "I'll just continue to focus on beating MI and let things sort out". "You know, the records are what they are. Good for B1G to have him back".

In a school press release, Leach said "We are incredibly excited to have the opportunity to play Michigan State in the Holiday Bowl". The Cougars lost to Washington, 41-14, in their final regular-season game, finishing third in the six-team North Division.

But because Wisconsin landed in the Orange Bowl, the Big Ten could not fill the Citrus Bowl, Michigan State's long-projected destination.

Dantonio's players took to twitter to voice their displeasure about being passed over.

"All I can do as a football coach every single week is get ready for the people that we're playing against and look for a quality opponent to play against", Dantonio said.

"Saw Coach D comments on continuing to "focus" on how "he" can beat MI".
