Hours after Asaduddin Owaisi took a dig at Congress President Rahul Gandhi's temple visit, the party on 23 December said that the AIMIM president makes statements just to grab attention. While addressing the media after the meet, Rahul said it was disappointing that the party lost in Gujarat but he was pleased to see that the Congress fought hatred and anger with respect, love and courage.
"BJP's entire foundation is on lies".
On Thursday, a special CBI court said investigators had failed to prove allegations that 2G or second generation spectrum was allocated out-of-turn at cheaper rates in exchange for bribes when the Congress was in power and DMK's A Raja was telecom minister.
He further asked should Narendra Modi, Finance Minister Arun Jaitley and the BJP leadership not be held accountable for "selling lies and false allegations qua a "scam and corruption" where none existed as proved by the CBI court?".
"There was a clear view of Rahul Gandhi, Manmohan Singh and other members that struggle among people will be the way forward for the Congress".
"During Gujarat elections, it seemed like the Congress leaders and the BJP leaders were not campaigning for elections but were trying to visit the maximum number of temples".
"I came to know there (in Gujarat) that people actually do not accept Modiji's model".
Sources also stated that the Prime Minister asserted his electoral track record, saying that under the reign of former Prime Minister Indira Gandhi, the Congress had been in power in 18 states, while the BJP now shares power in 19 states. People of Gujarat told us there is no model. "Our party played a very positive role in keeping everybody together", he added. "The then CAG (Comptroller and Auditor General) Vinod Rai had announced that the government had suffered a loss of ₹1,76,000 crore", he said. The truth is, however, out in the open that BJP made a profession out of its conspiracy of lies and falsehoods to gain power at any cost.
"I have declared unconditional support to BJP", Rathod told reporters here. "Now they should not blame us", he said.
