Referee hurts himself in unusual way during Bears vs. Lions

Posted December 17, 2017

After a touchdown reception by T.J. Jones that gave Detroit a 13-0 lead over the Bears in the second quarter, Jones, Theo Riddick, Marvin Jones, Eric Ebron and Golden Tate linked arms and danced like the Rockettes. The Lions beat the Bears earlier this year in Chicago.

Jones' 58-yard grab extended a Lions drive they would soon cap off with a 3-yard touchdown pass from Stafford to TJ Jones.

Shaheen suffered the injury during Sunday's win over the Bengals in Cincinnati, according to coach John Fox. The Bears announced defensive end Pernell McPhee is doubtful to return to the game with a shoulder injury, and Lions cornerback Darius Slay is being evaluated for a concussion, per team insider Tim Twentyman.

There are two things that really made this play impressive.

STAFFORD'S STREAK: With a banged-up right hand, Stafford extended his starting streak to 112 games, including the playoffs, in last week's win at Tampa Bay.

Thanks to two field goals and a touchdown in the first half, the Lions are nearly there and had a 13-3 lead at halftime.

The Bears will also be without safety Adrian Amos, who will miss his third straight game due to a hamstring injury.
