Capcom confirms new Monster Hunter World beta and post-launch content updates

Posted January 06, 2018

The press release rounds out by informing gamers that the final open beta before the full launch will take place between January 18th and January 22nd.

The two dragons that have been confirmed to be heading into the game is the steel dragon Kushala Daora and the flame king dragon Teostra. In addition to those quests, you'll also be able to fight the game's flagship monster, Nergigante.

Capcom's livestream lasted about an hour and detailed what the community should expect before, during and after launch week.

Capcom released a new trailer for Monster Hunter World ahead of the game's upcoming release later this month, featuring the behemoths that roam (and rule) the lands, known as Elder Dragons.

We're quickly closing in on the release date for Monster Hunter: World, but before that arrives, Capcom has one final beta test it wants to host.

In a video message, Monster Hunter World's producer, Ryozo Tsujimoto, thanked PC players for their patience, saying that more details would be be revealed "later". The action-packed trailer gives us a glimpse of the Elder Dragons, some new and some old favourites who return. Diners will be able to wash their hearty meals down with a complimentary drink, as well as getting hands-on with a demo of Monster Hunter: World, with in-built gaming consoles at each table. The first update will arrive in Spring 2018 and include fan-favorite monster Deviljho. The PC release, as we learned just a couple of days ago, is not due until autumn this year.
