Enzo Amore has been released by WWE after being accused of rape.

Wrestler Enzo Amore has been suspended by the WWE over allegations of sexual assault.

"Philomena" alleges that she was drugged by not only Enzo but also Tyler Grosso and Toopoor. "PUT ME UNDER A LIE DETECTOR RIGHT NOW", she tweeted, according to Wrestling Inc. "They ARE NOT good people".

The alleged sexual assault occurred on in mid-October while in Phoenix, AZ and today the alleged victim posted details on the incident. Phoenix police have been investigating the case since last October. "Until this matter is resolved, Eric Arndt (aka Enzo Amore) has been suspended", the company said. She has claimed that Amore, whose real name is Eric Arndt, restrained her when "it happened".

In a move that should shock no one, the WWE made a decision to fire Enzo Amore. Pro Wrestling Sheet confirmed with the Phoenix Police Department that a sexual assault report has been filed against Amore, and an investigation into the matter remains open at this time.

Amore was terminated on January 23, 2018, which ended his seven-year career with WWE as a two-time Cruiserweight Champion.

WWE suspended Amore ahead of RAW's massive 25th-anniversary show. If he is proven innocent the company may consider rehiring him. He was scheduled to face challenger Cedric Alexander at the upcoming Royal Rumble.

Arndt has worked for WWE since 2012. Amore was eventually moved to 205 Live as a Cruiserweight and would defeat Neville to capture the division's title.
