The company has included iPhone, iPod Touch, and iPad for it.

Barclays previously modeled a scenario where Apple could lose $10.29 billion in iPhone sales if 16 million people decide not to upgrade thanks to the battery deal.

Meanwhile, spelling more trouble for Apple it was just last week that the U.S. Department of Justice and the Securities and Exchange Commission said they were investigating whether Apple violated securities laws concerning its disclosures that it slowed older iPhones with flagging batteries.

The "Beta" feature, and Apple will likely continue to refine and update its Battery Health feature over the course of the beta testing period. Expect the iOS 11.3 beta 3 update and the betas afterward to refine Apple's existing plans for the upcoming operating system rather than introducing anything substantial.

Following the iPhone battery throttling revelations at the end of a year ago, Apple promised to introduce new battery health features to iOS 11.3, as well as a toggle that will let users disable performance throttling on devices with weak battery.

The letter comes just a few weeks after Apple admitted that the company was secretly slowing down older iPhones to compensate for the loss in battery efficiency and to maintain optimum battery life. Sharp that supplied parts for the iPhone X reportedly failed to renew the deal.

Barclays analysts believe that the battery replacement program could affect iPhone sales and the average price of iPhones. Instead, the company reduced the price of an iPhone battery replacement to $29 from $79. This is great for those who try and eke out as much space on their iPhone as they can get.

With iOS 11.3 installed on your iPhone, there's a new section on the Battery Settings page that details your battery's health. The screen wakes up 8-12 seconds after the phone starts ringing, preventing the affected users from answering the incoming call or seeing who is calling.

CEO Tim Cook said the iPhone X was the best-selling iPhone model in every week since its release.
