Lawrence, who has been in London to promote her new film Red Sparrow, also hit back at commentators who criticised her wearing of a plunging dress at an outdoor photocall while her male co-stars stayed covered up.

Jennifer Lawrence is addresssing her fashion critics head-on.

"Wow. I don't really know where to get started on this "Jennifer Lawrence wearing a revealing dress in the cold" controversy", the actress wrote on Facebook.

"This is not only utterly ridiculous, I am extremely offended", the Oscar victor wrote on Facebook.

She continued to call the discussions "sexist", saying they were "creating silly distractions from real issues".

Lawrence urged people to "get a grip" and explained her attire was entirely up to her. And if I want to be cold THAT'S MY CHOICE TOO!'

Meanwhile, other social media users, the Daily Mail reports, blamed the photo op on "the film industry's requirement that women be sexy", and complained about the men wearing winter clothing but not Lawrence. While Lawrence definitely pulled off the sexy LBD to perfection, some deemed her fashion choice as inappropriate due to the cold weather in London, England. At the time, the internet was speculating as to whether or not Lawrence was forced to go coat-free and therefore pointing out the picture was just further evidence of the gender disparity coming to light.

Though Lawrence's playful antics in the public eye are normally well-received, she is often a recipient of online criticism that claims she puts on a crafted "cool girl" persona.

"Timothée, I'm waiting for him to get a little bit older, you know?" she said about the Oscar nominee, who at 22 is only five years her junior.

"I'm going to swing right in there as soon as he's, like, 30".

"[I'm] buttering him up like a pig for slaughter", she joked, adding that she thinks he's "so, so talented and hot".

Chalamet has yet to respond to Lawrence's offer, but he did recently tell The Hollywood Reporter that meeting her was "crazy-gratifying", especially after she gushed about Call Me By Your Name.
