The stars in showbizz have taken up the "Padman Challenge" not only to promote the upcoming R. Balki film but also, to tell the world how important "Periods" is to be spoken about.
Aamir Khan who is now dawning the "Thugs of Hindustan" look, took to social media and shared a picture completing the "Pad Man" challenge on Friday. "Period Now challenging @bipsluvurself @humasqureshi @MasabaG #PadManChallenge @akshaykumar".
Aamir wrote, "Thank you @mrsfunnybones, Yes, that's a Pad in my hand & there's nothing to be ashamed about". But now, the "PadMan challenge" has gone viral after many celebrities are came forward to take the challenge.
In a tweet, Akshay himself posted a picture and nominated Alia, Deepika Padukone and Virat Kohli to take up the challenge. He claims that he entered the toilet to grab a Sanitary pad from the vending machine to take part in the Padman Challenge.
Now, PadMan will make a splash on the silverscreen on February 9.
The story around the "Padman", is Arunachalam Muruganantham, a social entrepreneur who invented the machine for manufacturing low-priced sanitary pads, initiated a #PadManchallenge on social media.
With PadMan, Akshay and Twinkle wish to break the taboo about menstruation in the country and spread awareness about the importance of menstrual hygiene.
