Amazon Prime now includes free video games through Twitch

Posted March 15, 2018

In an announcement on its blog, Twitch has announced a new feature that Twitch Prime members can look out for called "Free Games with Prime". The latest perk for being a Prime subscriber is free games from Twitch every month. It doesn't cost extra money, and you get free games.

We know that Twitch has given many games for free for the Twitch Prime members in the past. Overall, there will be a whopping ten free games between March and April. It's unknown whether you'll have to install the Twitch desktop app to access these games. Shifty. In April, Twitch Prime subscribers will get access to Tales from the Borderlands, SteamWorld Dig 2, Kingsway, Tokyo 42 and Dubwars. As always, if you have anything to share, feel free to sound them off in the comments section below!

The best part is that according to Twitch, these games are for gamers to keep forever. Now Twitch Prime users had been given free games in the past; however, this is the first time the free game handouts are going to be on a regular basis.

For those who have been paying to Twitch's Indie Amplifier contest over the past month, most of these games will be familiar. And that's not even including everything bundled in with Amazon Prime, which is also included in a Twitch Prime subscription. The other two titles offered in March are Superhot and Oxenfree. A great number of Amazon customers think Prime is already pretty awesome in and of itself, but free games every month on top of the benefits? Also, keep in mind this is new and, most likely, Twitch Prime will include more in the deal (if they're just a little generous), in 2018 and beyond.
