As Theron revealed during a Thursday appearance on "The Late Late Show with James Corden" alongside "Gringo" co-stars David Oyelowo and Joel Edgerton, she lost control of her bladder when she first met her co-stars while having dinner in Mexico City - although she places the blame firmly on Oyelowo's hilarious storytelling skills. Theron said on "Jimmy Kimmel Live!". I have really bad sleep (patterns) and so does my mom.
"It totally works, it's fantastic", she said, but warned Jimmy she had no plans to share her "dealer" mum.
James then asked who she'd like to receive a rose from, Charlize clarified, "No, I don't want to be on the show".
It's hard to be Charlize Theron. And Charlize, who admitted to taking sleep medication for the issue, shared that after suggesting they try some marijuana to help with the problem, her mother took matters into her own hands. "I have this image of her in the store - like, she's just not this kind of person and buying marijuana ... and she was like, 'And they tried to give me all sorts of lollipops!' She had like, a full experience".
"I assumed because she was in the tennis outfit that she had scored with a young tennis friend because she plays tennis with these really cool young girls", Theron continued. She says she has trouble sleeping, which I assume is due to flashbacks of the year-and-a-half of dating Sean Penn she was forced to endure. "I found myself frozen in front of my fridge for like eight hours, and I couldn't speak, and it just wasn't fun anymore".
With Amazon Studios and STX Films dark comedy Gringo opening in theaters this weekend, I recently sat down with David Oyelowo for an exclusive video interview.
