This was the case with National Basketball Association agent Dan Fegan, who was killed in a vehicle crash on Sunday.
Fegan, 56, was driving an SUV that was struck by a bus while trying to cross or merge onto Highway 82, Colorado State Trooper Gabe Easton told the Aspen Times. There were two others in the SUV, a 29-year-old woman from California and Fegan's 5-year-old son, who both were airlifted to a Denver hospital with serious injuries, the report stated.
In 2016, Fegan was on Forbes magazine's list of top agents. The Roaring Fork Transportation Authority CEO said the driver didn't have time to avoid the collision.

Erica Robbie of The Aspen Times reported the news. The newspaper reported that past year he was sacked from his agency, Independent Sports & Entertainment, and the sides subsequently were involved in a lawsuit.
