Saturday night: A chance of rain.

A frosty start will give way to a mainly dry day, with bright or sunny spells and a few showers during the afternoon. Allow a few extra minutes for your morning commute.

"Some snow will occur through Wednesday night but accumulation is expected to be light, with less than 1" expected at this time. There is a chance of a light wintry mix early Saturday morning in southern in, and for now, Sunday looks dry also.

The lack of early snow accumulation had many doubting that a major winter storm was underway - if social media is any indication. Northwest wind 5 to 10 miles per hour, with gusts as high as 15 miles per hour. It will be breezy again, making it feel colder than the forecast high of 38. Temperatures will fall into the 30s, but should stay above freezing. Overnight lows in the upper 20s.

Sunday Night: A 20 percent chance of showers. The chance of precipitation is 40 percent.

Monday: Mostly cloudy with a 30% chance for rain/snow and a high near 49 degrees. Saturday will become partly to mostly cloudy as another disturbance starts to approach the region.

Friday night: Partly cloudy, with a low around 31.

"Expect daytime snowfall amounts to range from an inch or less across the lower elevations to around an inch across the higher terrain east of Lake Erie", the weather service said.

Sunday: Partly sunny, with a high near 48.
